Do you have your travel vaccines?

Before traveling outside of the United States, you may need more vaccines. Some vaccines may even be required before entering or leaving another country. You should begin the process of getting vaccines about 4-6 months before travel. Most vaccines must be started at least 3 weeks before travel.

  • Make sure you are up-to-date on your routine vaccines.

  • Call the Lincoln County Health Department at 636-528-6117 to complete a phone consultation. After the phone consultation, an appointment will be scheduled to get vaccines needed before travel. Some vaccines may require multiple doses so consult your health care provider as soon as possible.

  • Check the CDC’s destination pages for travel health information.

  • We are able to provide all routine vaccines and the following travel vaccines:

    • Yellow Fever

      • People age 60 and older, seeking Yellow Fever vaccination, per CDC recommendations will be required to have an order or letter of approval from their health care provider.

      • If going to or traveling through a country where Yellow Fever vaccination is required, vaccination must be completed no later than 10 days before travel.

      • $240 covers the cost for Yellow Fever vaccine, official Yellow Fever card, and phone consultation

    • Typhoid

      • If the vaccine is recommended for your destination, get one shot (or a booster shot) at least 2 weeks before travel.

      • $150 covers the cost for Typhoid vaccine with phone consultation

  • The cost of the vaccine will be due at the time of service.

  • Education regarding common diseases that a traveler could be at risk for will also be provided.
